"The studio apartment was certainly comfortable enough for two. Plenty of cooking implements if you want to cooking your own meals. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Free laundry facilities! Would stay again."

"Mooie kamers. Wij waren echter met gezin met 2 kinderen. Dachten hierbij ontbijt geregeld te hebben. Bleek dit maar voor 2 personen bij de kamer te kunnen. Voor de kinderen moesten we voor 2 ontbijtjes nog 80 AUD afrekenen. Dit vonden wij in verhouding wel erg prijzig. Verder alles mooi, fijn en verwarmd zwembad welke open was van 06.30 tot 21.30u. Kan er zelf baantjes trekken. Vriendelijk personeel."

"Bel hôtel. Appartement propre et bien équipé. Mais nous n’étions pas informés que la piscine était en rénovation. Si cela avait été le cas , nous n’aurions pas choisi cet hôtel."

Pub that serves food next door was very useful after long days out Central location Reception staff helpful & friendly. Responded quickly to our request for more towels & mugs Lower price reflects the general standard. But we only used it to sleep in so it was perfect for our needs"

"I stayed 2 nights. The staff are friendly efficient and cheerful. I had a ground floor standard room. A little dated with minor maintenance issues. The bed needed a topper, but was reasonable. It wasn't noisy. The price was good and I would stay there again, but in a higher graded room."

"This was a unique experience of an outback homestead. Great for a couples retreat or a friends gathering. Absolutely beautiful panorama and off the main track. Worth it! "

"The actual place looks like it shouldn’t be open, looks like a construction site but nothings being done. The one room that looks like it’s to be used that we were given smelt like it had been completely coated in bleach it was that strong that it burnt the nose hairs. We gave the key back and the person there asked why, we said we decided to keep going - not happy at all and wasted $200!!"

"The place looked abandoned & not open. Absolutely zero communication from the host about checkin process. The property had no access, was surrounded by a high wall & had high grass surrounding it on all sides. I repeat - it looked abandoned & very sketchy. My husband decided not to even stay there because it did not look to be in a safe area. We went to the Hilton Doubletree instead, which is a lovely hotel in Alice. I cannot recommend anything at all about VATU Sanctuary. "

"This hostel is perfect for travellers doing a guided outback tour. You can leave your big luggage there for free and they offer super early breakfast, because the tour operators pick you up early morning usually."

"THE " Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge " was just such a refreshing place to stay at minimal cost. The staff at reception "LESLIE AND PAGE were so helpful and refreshingly honest in their attitude towards customers and their respective jobs. The cleaning and room preparation was excellent and the cleaning staff were most obliging in providing extra service if there was a requirement.. such as sugar, tea, milk, blankets etc. Kudos to the groundsmen for their efforts to keep all clean and tidy."
