"The check in building was awesome. The concept was like a little village and was amazing. The grounds needed some serious upkeep ie paint and bushes/tree and "lawn" maintenance. The room was nice but had peeling paint in a few spots. Most of the staff was nice, but some made us feel like an inconvenience. Overall good experience, but for the price I definitely expected better."

"Neat and nice but small rooms with low-quality beddings. Minimal furniture. No closet to hang any garments. Coffee/tea maker and refrigerator in the room. Walkable to small commercial area with restaurants."

There are a few onsite restaurant options and many picnic tables in the “miner’s camp.” Even though there are many buildings, the layout is such that it feels like it is a smaller place. It was an eclectic stay at the property - the history, the mythical link to the television series Northern Exposure, and the locals who manage the bar, lodging, and beer garden.
