The property is also very well situated for local amenities and a short walk from: Eltham town and several parks, including Westerfold's Park where you can see wild Kangaroo's, Kookaburra's, and other Australian Wildlife. "Excellent staff that helped us with a variety of requests to make our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is excellent with western and Asian favorites. The location on Melbourne’s Southbank was a big plus. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and a wonderful promenade along the Yarra River."

"Always love staying at the Dorsett in Melbourne. Great location, friendly staff, excellent rooms and facilities (gym, pool, swimming pool, sauna and steam room) and the daily buffet breakfast always hits the spot! Highly recommended, especially if you can book when they have special rates."

"The unit was clean, in good condition, and the bed was comfortable. Instant coffee, teabags, sweeteners, and milk were available in the room along with an electric kettle. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety including made to order eggs, very tasty. Check in and out was simple and quick, staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again."

"Nice quiet room. The hotel is in a convenient location and the staff are very helpful. My only issue was that the fan in the air-conditioner made a loud grating sound. I had to turn the ac off to sleep."

"Our stay was really nice but a few things were disappointing. We upgraded our room to deluxe but it felt really small. The pool was closed which was disappointing. There were many positives to our stay. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Lovely bottle of wine for our anniversary which was very kind. We were overcharged for cocktails during happy hour but staff assured us we would receive a refund for that. Overall I really nice stay with wonderful staff "
