"This is a throw-back to the days of the good old motor lodge. A tiki bar bar, for starters but a tiki bar with good local beer. A wonderful shaded pool area. Light switches that are self-evident and don't require an engineering degree to figure out. Instructions to housekeeping that are followed. You know what I am talking about. The one downside? The patio doors/balconies all face the setting sun, which leads to three hours a night of intense sunlight and heat in a non-air conditioned...

Everything was super clean!! Loved the quiet feel of the Trumpeter as it is about 10 min away from the chatter of the downtown Friday Harbor. Our favorite parts were feeding the goats and alpacas in the mornings and using the complimentary bikes to explore the island."
