"Overall okay. Only thing is the master bedroom aircon which takes awhile to fix. Owner very responsive and provided welcome drinks when arrived. The area is good and quite close to shops. Good to have a car though."

"We enjoyed our stay at Paganakan Dii. The room was basic but comfy and the air conditioner and fan were enough to keep it cool at night. The restaurant was basic but fine and the staff were helpful and able to help book tours and transport. The place was quiet, peaceful and had great jungle views. Would recommend!"

"Rooms never serviced. Bring your own shower gel and shampoo. Thin towels and only two per room. Cold breakfast from the buffet. Could do with having a drinks and snacks cabinet. Lumited cold drinks when resturant shut. Nothing around there shop wise. Bring supplies. On the plus the people at the desk were good. And walking distance to Orang-Utan, Sun Bear and RDC. Or 4 ringets in taxi, so cheap."

"We have never been to an area like this before and came because of the wildlife and culture. Sepilok Forest Edge Resort provided both. We were so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the way Sepilok invites you into their culture and the way the lodge was built with the environment in mind. "

"It was only a brief stopover before a river cruise so didn't expect much and I guess it met expectations. Area around the hotel was a little dirty and there wasn't much to walk to. Hotel room was basic (fine) and the sheets and floor were clean. Bathroom wasn't as clean. Had a TV but it came with a 2 prong plug ??? Which makes no sense when its a 3 prong country! Breakfast very limited for western palate - no fruit or breaded things apart from toast. Overall as expected - not sure it's 3 star...

"Honestly, the hospitality here blew us away, easily the best we experienced throughout our entire trip to Malaysia. Jason, Ryan, and the rest of the team were just genuinely lovely people. "The place is very worn down and not particularly clean. There’s a strong, unpleasant, and stuffy smell throughout the building. The escape routes in case of fire seem questionable and not clearly marked. Overall, it feels poorly maintained and unsafe. Definitely not a place I would recommend for families with children."
