"This place was a hidden gem! Conveniently located and short drive to Siesta Key Beach and shops. It felt like we pulled off the highway and entered a secluded privite island resort. We had all the amenities needed for our stay. We had issues with the coin fed dryer getting hot, and the housekeeping staff were so great to offer to dry our clothes and return them to our room. "The beach that the Zota Beach Resort is on is the best part of this place. White sand, beautiful water, and not too crowded even during spring break. Your resort fee includes 2 lounge chairs, but an umbrella or an additional chair costs $40 each. I was not happy when they ran out of umbrellas and wouldn't let us put one up that a local friend had. The overall service and attitude of the staff (front desk, bars, and restaurant) were below average. Our room was a nice size, and was clean. "
