"What a lovely place to spend a short break. The selling point of this hotel is the location and the views of the lake. It’s just so convenient and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go without worrying about transport. We did have a slight drainage issue in our room but were moved to another room without fuss and the reception staff were helpful and accommodating. "The value for the property is my main issue. Expect to be up charged for everything. They don’t even provide lotions or anything spa related in the room. They charge extra for the sauna and the hours are very limited (opens at noon! And closes early). Spa is more of an add on than a hotel experience. the breakfast was good and so was the location. Only recommend the lake view rooms otherwise your room overlooks a parking lot. The woman kindly offered an upgrade at check in but for a surcharge....

"Many thanks to Jovana and Jan hosting us and making us feel like home . It was a pleasure spending the weekend over there , walking around , dining in th castle and enjoying the surroundings. This is not the high season so you make want to book some other month if you wish a more Vivid experience. By far, the very best steak Tatar I have ever tried in my entire life! Should visit for sure! "

"The hotel is very old and quite dated, it was clean and the housekeeping lady was nice. Although the area of Bled feels safe/secure, I didn’t like that there was no reception at the actual hotel. Relying on others to lock the doors was not ideal. There was no air con, and no WiFi. I could not log on for or entire stay. Breakfast at the nearby hotel was nice, and the actual location was beautiful, with views/glimpses of the lake."
