"Definitely recommend this place. While its old, its extremely clean and kept up very well. Its not on the highway but in the downtown area (about 2 miles from I-70) which makes it very walkable and safe. The owner is very nice and answered my questions without seeming like I was bothering him. There is a small park close by. As a solo female traveler I felt more comfortable here than I have at large, big named hotels. If you are looking to stay at a Hilton type hotel this is not the place....

"We stayed at this location one night on a cross country trip and were really pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed was, the lighting in the room was great for reading…, and the room was Pickens band clean.The area around this was quiet and we had the best night sleep we’ve had yet on our trip. Highly recommend this as a one night stop"
