"Firstly, let me start by saying we were staying as a couple and didn’t realise it was the school holidays in south east Asia, so this definitely colours my review. The pool area looked amazing when we arrived, but the entire time we were there it was completely crowded with kids - who were having an amazing time and it’s definitely a great resort for families. For us, it was so noisy, overcrowded and you couldn’t get an alcoholic drink until 3pm… and even then, there never seemed to be anyone...

"This is our second stay in this hotel. Location is perfect, nearby to town and also not too far away from Batu Ferringhi area. Although the hotel is a bit old, the staff truly make the difference. "We love staying at the Penang Marriott. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We always book a Club Room and find the staff who serve there absolutely A1, truly a home from home! Hats off to Samson and his team. He is a smashing fellow, very engaging and could not do enough for us, when we were in the Club. The Marriott are lucky to have him.
