"Quaint little cabin, with everything you need to brave the high winds of the west fjords. One recommendation, provide a mini bar with a red and white wine and mini liquors. After the treacherous drive through the icy mountains, we could’ve really used a drink to calm the nerves. Beautiful property Would stay again!"

"Quaint guesthouse in a small town. Great homebase for further exploration of Westfjords. Hosts were friendly. We really liked the breakfast service, and lunch (from their bistro at extra cost) was the best homestyle Icelandic food that we had during our trip. The rooms are very clean, although they are small. Shared WC and shower facilities were also clean."

"Excelent stay at Country Hotel Heydalur, they mean the country part. Its set on a working farm, so icelandic horses are just around the corner from your room. 2 geo pools of different temps and another pool inside a greenhouse to help wind down a day. There is also a natural geo pool across the river, which normally is easily accesed but at this time the staff described as "complicated" due to river being so high, but was able to get to by crossing shin high water in certain spots of the...

"The room was great. I read reviews the night before and they complained about the floors squeaking and kitchen not being good. They must have remodeled since those reviews. Floors were all new and the kitchen was great. The email could have given more info on how to get there but if you search for Stadsrflot, that is the name of the road and it takes you right there."
