"Hotel used to be lovely. Now very tired. room had a layer of dust under furniture that looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly for years. Wifi didn't reach the room reliably and TV wasn't connected to aerial. The lounges are worn and they don't reserve some space for residents so you may not be able to use public areas unless you book them. Oh, and don't be a vegetarian."

"We had a wonderful stay here with our son, both sets of grandparents, and our dog, and it was perfect for everyone. From the moment we arrived, the first impression was fantastic. The spa was lovely and a great place to relax, and the food was brilliant throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, although it did take a little while to arrive. "It's within 10 minute walking distance to centre of town. There is an ok but overpriced Indian restaurant, but setting for food. Big Sainsbury's nearby. Property is standard HI Express, clean, ok breakfast. Only real criticism is having stayed at HI Express a lot over the past 5 months in different places for work, would be good if they could vary the breakfast a bit."

"I was pleasantly surprised when i arrived at this hotel. Iit overlooked the river Avon, and we could see a little waterfall from our window. The mill wheels was working just outside the dining room window. It would be lovely in the summer. The only downside was the choice for breakfast. However you get what you pay for and as a really cheap hotel it exceeded expectations and when next i go to Bath i will stay there. As a bonus it also has a toll road running into Bath which cost £1.20p cash...

The staff is extremely knowledgeable & helpful, and the location is great if you want to be close to all tourist spots but stay somewhere a bit more quiet. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Bath!"

"We had travelled about 190 miles for a wedding, arriving about 12:30 and looking for suitable facilities to change in, only to be offered the use of the disabled toilet. Far from ideal, but we managed. The room like the hotel looked dated, with only 1 packet of biscuits for the 2 of us, only bathroom amenities was a small round of hand soap, a pump dispenser of soap and shampoo over the bath, and the shower wasn't up to much either. The location and views were really nice. "
