"We really enjoyed our stay at 'Forest Edge Hotel'. The location is charming with nature and beautiful views all around (I think all rooms have access to a balcony). It's far away enough from the main road that you don't hear any traffic. They also have a lovely pool. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. "A beautiful property nestled in the jungle. The views were amazing and the sounds of the rushing river were super relaxing. The rooms were big and airy. There is no air conditioning but some ceiling fans that do the job perfectly (we were never too hot at night) - the pool with the river view in room 10 was spectacular. "Stayed at Adventure Base Camp for a day of river rafting which was awesome. Great facility for the area. AC worked really well. Only issues are that the lower rooms in our building had some mold on the wall (but understandable due to the high humidity in the area) and the beds were a bit uncomfortable."

"Close to bus stop on Hatton-Avissawella road. Faded glory, but very pleasant dining area, lobby and lawn overlooking river in which you can swim- but carefully as in the middle it flows fast. Non AC rooms are large with effective fan. Lots of whitewater rafting in area. You are in lowland so can be very warm."
