If you want enjoy your breakfast with nicotin

Room was ok'ish very basic. However the breakfast was not pleasant experience as there where lot of Chinese guests smoking in the breakfast room which was non-smoking! Hotel employees didn't do anything to stop people smoking.

Ok but can get better for cheaper

It was ok but a bit disappointing. Room smelt a bit dank and the toilet was always smelly. The room was very large which was good. You do have to walk a bit to the restaurants which we didn't mind. Staff were friendly but spoke very limited english which isn't unusual for Dong Hoi. The breakfast was good when it was buffet but for the last 2 mornings we had to choose from a pretty limited menu.

Functional and economic

I only stayed in Dong Hoi one night, on the way from Danang to Hanoi, and the place was more than fine for my purpose. It feels like a nicer hotel that is sort of on the downward slide, kind of worn, but for the price it was good and there's really nothing wrong with the place. My room was very large with a view out toward the water, and everything worked to my satisfaction. The breakfast was typical and adequate, and the staff met my needs. The hotel is a little south of what seems to be the center of the city and just south of the citadel, and I was able to walk around and see some sights and grab dinner from that location. There are restaurants and other things in the immediate area as well. A good experience, no complaints, especially for the money.

Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is prima. Simpel hotel, niet bijzonder, maar ook niks mis mee. Het zit tegenover een restaurant, verder is er in de buurt niet veel te doen. Met de taxi ben je in 5 minuten bij het strand.
