"This is not our first time staying at this location. The Home Restaurant adjacent to the property is great - good food & friendly staff. The hotel appears to need some repair & TLC since our last visit about 18 months ago. Walkway to the upper level rooms is narrow and blocks uneven. For seniors could be a tripping hazard. Now appears to be mainly work crews staying at this hotel. Room door not fitting well. Could see the light thru top 1/2 of the door. A musty smell in the room. Leftover nail file (not mine) left on the heat register in the bathroom. Dirt marks on door frame & around door knob in the bathroom. Calcified showerhead - water spraying everywhere. Bed soft and sagged in the middle - had to sleep back to back to not roll together. Only 3 pillows for 2 of us. Left me wondering how much cleaning was done after the previous occupant. Fridge very noisy while running but kept things cold. Struggled with the TV remote - couldn't get the guide. Parking adequate. Didn't use the kitchenette. Upon leaving in the morning, didn't enjoy walking thru the smoke area. Smoking pot at 7am - wonder what work the 4 people sitting there do? Overall not impressed given the amount paid for the room. Likely won't stay there again."
"The hotel is full of seasonal workers, they are loud and inconsiderate of other guests. The parking lot is full of very large vehicles, the outside area looks like an apt building with chairs and debris from the long term guests. Don’t stay there if you enjoy peace n quiet."
"The staff was courteous but there was NO boating a fishing available for 5th and 6th due to marriage at there spot and there was no communication while doing the booking. We have to go all the way 40 kms for boating. The washroom roof was pealed off. They were out of toothpaste and brush in bathroom and for that we travel again 25kms.
Surrounding view is fabulous.
Thanks"
"Staff were friendly, room was clean. However, the room we booked online was completely different than the room we stayed in. The advertising is completely false and we were seriously mislead. We spent $300 on a room that was barely big enough for the bed and mini fridge they shoved into it, while we were under the impression we were staying in a large room with a couch, coffee table, and decent space.
Beware that the photos they have are NOT reflective of the rooms they actually provide, it's a complete rip off. Not at all worth the $300, next time we will be staying elsewhere as we felt the price was absolutely ludicrous for the amenities provided."
"Rooms were good, newly redone. They have a skylight that lets natural light in. Sounds good but in June it’s light at 5am, room is completely lite up by 5:30 am and no way to stop light from coming in. It’s in a good location and could be alot nicer if it was cleaned up a bit."
