"For a $160+ cost to stay, I was saddened to see the state of our room. There were "hairs" in the bathroom. One of the towels was stuffed in the cubby making me wonder if it was clean. There were a few squares left on the toilet paper and no refills so I had to walk down and get some. I found an old candy wrapper and grime behind the bedside tables. "We were in town for a wedding and spent one night at the Hamilton house inn. Our room was, clean, comfortable and extremely quiet. Shawn cooked us French toast, sausage, and grits for breakfast. It was delicious. If we ever return to Monroe, we will stay again. 5 stars!"
