Soggiorno deludente

Ci è stata data una stanza nella dépendance per nulla simile a quelle fotografate nel sito. Sia la struttura che la nostra stanza sono vecchie e fatiscenti. In entrambi i locali c'era odore stantio e nella stanza i mobili erano tutti rovinati. Per quanto riguarda la colazione, non ne abbiamo usufruito personalmente però vedendo il buffet non era per niente abbondante e variegata. Uniche 2 note positive: il check-in e check-out in autonomia e una zona comune con microonde, bollitore e posate sempre a disposizione.

BED BUGS! BED BUGS! BED BUGS! My friend and I arrived at the Marilyn Mansion at night, tired from the flight and fell asleep pretty quickly. The next morning, as we were getting ready, we found some sizeable bed bugs crawling along the sides of the sheets. We also noticed that some of the carpeting in our room (room 17) was coming away from the floor. My friend had bite marks on her arms and on her side. We felt so disgusted that, after stripping the beds, shaking out all our clothes, bags, the suitcase, everything, we packed everything up and immediately found somewhere else to stay. We informed the room attendant, who was very understanding and gave us the card of the owner. I called to let him know that we found bed bugs and that we were leaving. He said to me on the phone, "we can talk about processing a refund if needed", to which we both replied "oh yeah it's needed". Once we had moved to new accommodation, I emailed him to inquire about the refund, and even attached pictures of the bites my friend had on her person. It's been a week and still no reply or refund. I would say you get what you pay for, but we paid £859 for a week-long stay, and we had been there less than 12 hours before waking up with bed bugs and leaving. If you're the owner of the Marilyn Mansion, and you're reading this, I'm still waiting for the refund YOU said we could have.

Unterkunft pasabel. Preis stimmt

Die Websitebilder sind teils veraltet und stimmen nicht mit der eigentlichen Zimmereinrichtung überein. Die Bettwäsche hatte Flecken und das Zimmer hat etwas nach Rauch gerochen. Die Bettwäsche wurde jedoch am nächsten Tag ausgetauscht. Insgesamt schien die Unterkunft etwas renovierungsbedürftig. Stühle waren z.B. fast alle kaputt. Der Service war jedoch freundlich und late check in war auch kein Problem

Great location. Staff very nice. They are honest in that they state upfront that Marilyn Mansion is NOT a luxury inn. That being said, everything is clean and comfortable. Shower fits young children.

Budget Hotel in Good Location

Lovely old house with period details. A little shabby but clean, quiet and warm. You get more than you pay for at this budget establishment. I would absolutely come back here.

Disappointed ☹️

The curtains were hanging off the rail at one side ... the bathroom had mould on the ceiling .. radiator was cold as turned off ... the tiles on the wall had blown and were coming off ...one side of the shower was really hard to open ... it all looked very old and tired ...

Very Unfavorable Stay

The window wouldn't shut and it was in the 40's. All night we had the wind blow on our faces! Upon emailing the manager, he entered the room the next day, without prior approval, and put a sheet along the opening. He then turned on a heater and left it running all day long. Our suitcases were next to the heater AND THEY HAVE MELTED SPOTS! It was also 90 some degrees in the room when we returned that night. When brought to the receptionists attentions she said there was nothing she could do. There was a hole in the wall by the bedroom window which allowed a lot of cold air to enter the room. It was not the room we booked and there was a ton of space which was not needed. There is a shared bathroom that did not get cleaned everyday as the garbage was still there day after day, and it was very difficult to find. The neighborhood has abandoned buildings with mattresses and garbage thrown all over the yard, it's very difficult to get to from the airport, the neighborhood is very dark and borderline scary at night. The check in process is frustrating, and the staff is not very friendly. Overall, this was a horrible experience and I absolutely do not suggest a stay here, especially if you have children.

朝食は満足

壁が薄く隣の声やいびきが聞こえます。リビングや廊下で話している声もよく聞こえました。シャワーの調子が悪い時があり、違うシャワーに移り面倒でした。スタッフはとても親切でお願いしたことはやってくれました。朝食はハムやチーズやバンが美味しかったです。何よりも私は目的の場所に行くのに便利で選びました。

Belle maison de ville sympathique à laquelle il manque une séparation entre les WC et les salles de douche car juste 2 commodités pour l'ensemble des clients, cela fait peu. Sinon la localisation est très bien pour se rendre dans le centre de Dublin et le personnel est serviable.

Nice but not close

The property is well kept, the rooms are nice, and the bed is comfortable. The shared bathrooms are very clean and easily accessible. The breakfast is addition in cost. The staff will not allow you to use the laundry, even if your luggage is lost at the airport. The property is located quite a distance from the fun sites in Dublin. So you will either need to pay for rides, ride busses and transfer, or walk about 45 min to an hour to the locations.

We loved the room, the grounds, the area, the ample breakfast and the staff. Our only complaint was that pur room (#16) did not stay cool at all. VERY WARM even at night. We had to sleep with the back door open all night in order to get any rest. But, everything else was wonderful and we have no complaints at all.
