"First, if you're staying here, it's because it's a gorgeous, old mansion and that appeals to you. The amenities are not the same as a Hilton, but this place has other advantages. The current owner, Robert, is a great host who will make sure you feel welcome and at home. I stayed during the time of the "heat dome". My room had a window AC unit that kept the room comfortable. I was traveling alone and had sufficient room for my luggage, but each room is different in size. That's how these places are unique compared to a cookie-cutter hotel. The furniture is antique but did have some modern amenities like TVs with streaming capabilities and coffee in the room. The bed was as comfortable as any in the chain hotels. The bathroom was small but adequate: good shower etc. The breakfast included a hot entre as well as choices of pastries, fruit, cereals etc. And unlike the bland breakfast rooms of the hotel chains, this breakfast is served by a gracious host in a Victorian dining room that is absolutely stunning. The location is also great as it's right downtown and there's a friendly pub just across the street. I would stay there again."
