"Parking was good, check in was fine, room was clean, good size room we were in a accessible room, plenty of lights in room but did not have one on ceiling which would have helped when doing hair and makeup, good size tv, room warm good heater. Bathroom great size has shower and two sinks. Breakfast good and we had a evening meal at Hotel it was good had steak and ale pie. Have stayed at Hotel.before and will stay again. "Everything was excellent! Such a cute hotel and such a lovely town. We felt perfectly safe and at home during our stay. We stayed for 5 nights and took the train to Edinburgh, Melrose and Stirling. The hotel is close to the train station and very close to several lovely cafes. The price was reasonable. The room was lovely-comfortable beds, nice linens and nice soaps/shampoos. If we ever come back to the area, we will stay here! "

"Stay here regularly. We booked a more expensive king bed room, was told on arrival we had the best room however when we got there the room was far from an upgraded room and looked more tired than their standard room and wasn’t a king bed in it, the staff very kindly moved us to another room which was far better however it was so hot and even with the fan supplied on all night and window opened, it was uncomfortably hot. Great hotel, but I would choose the basic room in future as the upgraded...
