This place needs to be treated better before allowing people to stay , I wasn’t even there for 4 hours and I couldn’t take it anymore
Floors were making noises the beds wasn’t even in good condition, everything appliance was old and dirty
The place is a dump, really cannot undestand why this is still being listed as a place to stay and charging R1000 plus to stay there. Health department should just shut it down. Apart from being old, smelly, and dirty, there are rats. Frogs making noise the entire night. Booked for 2 nights but could not sleep there again. Woke up took all our belongings and left. I stay in the neighborhood and booked because of putting tiles in my house. Resorted to go back and sleep at home, way better than this place. Came back the following morning to return the key and take the toiletries we left and guess what, room was already occupied. Alistair who is in charge told me he saw that we left hence he let someone to sleep there. Still in disbelief that he actually went inside to check this and did not bother to call me to check if I will be coming back and mind you I paid for 2 nights. I am just wondering what would have happened if we came back at night.
Never send or refer anyone in that thing called durban bread and breakfast again if you respect guests. That thing is just RUBBISH in its totality. It is daylight robbery.
This is the most useless guest house I've ever seen. Absolute rubbish. Smelling bad. Dirty. Everything broken. Dirty water coming out ot taps and showers. I didn't even sleep there. I emediately left the place and booked a descent hotel for the family. I couldn't risk getting my family sick by letting them sleep in this pigs kraal. Absolute disrespectful for the owner to expect people to sleep on the rubbish dirty place.
I was not impressed with the overall experience of the place, we booked a family room, there was 1 glas in the kitchen, hardly any water coming out the taps in the bathroom, tv remotes not working. The photo gallery is very misleading, the garden unkept, rubble and rubbish lying around by the pool area, the walkways cant be walked on without shoes as there are sharp edged pebbles all over the place. I will not recommend this place at all.

I do not know if you ever check these places out first before promoting them.
This was a very old place.
Floor boards very loose.
The floor of the Shower was very soft and putty like.
It really was not worth the amount that was charged for this place.
The person in charge was very pleasant.
The worst chalet you would want to book. There was no hot water so we had to book water in pots. The staff is friendly but the manager was always running away because he knew we didn't have hot water and wasn't interested in actually doing anything about it. The quality was even below the one star I've given it. The WiFi was poor. The premium channels advertised are actually 10 dstv channels on a tiny tv screen. Guys, just don't make the same mistake I made. It was a serious waste of money.
Poor maintenance at hotel. Air conditioning not very good. Rooms not very clean. No cutlery for self catering. Balcony rails not safe. Wooden floors not secure. Not very impressed with the quality of the accommodation after paying the excessive price. Does not deserve three star status at all.
We arrived to check in just after 3. The room was bot ready and when we were showed up. There was no dstv, no toilet paper and no towels. We requested these things and were assisted. Alistar was not very friendly when we mentioned the missing bits in the room. We were told breakfast is servers from 7:30 but best to come at 8. We got to breakfast at about 8:15, and only got 2 sausages, a boiled egg and toast between 2 of us. Free breakfast it said. But they hadn't catered for everyone as there was a big family staying there that cleaned out the breakfast and not much else was done for us. The TVs in 2015, still were tiny round back things and the dstv kept rebooting. The bed was old and lumpy, as were the pillows.we had to get massages on our way back to joburg. There is no ventilation in the tiny cupboard turned bathroom. The toilet had a cupboard ther didn't closed completely which had a pipe running through it, which stank up our room. The cleaning staff was nice and helpful but we paid R1960 for 2 nights and felt robbed, we were grossly overcharged for a 3 star place. It was not a nice stay. We striped to find alternative accommodation but that time of year everywhere was full. Do not go there, you will be stressed during your entire stay.
Checkd in Friday 9th oct 2015. Abt 2030. Both contact telephone numbers not
working. The entrance by the traffic light is awkward, can get mugged while waiting for response from reception. Self catering unit needs proper renovation, stuffy n had to leave windows open, cockroaches from ceiling of kids bedroom. Deposit deducted from account on 16 sept. Had money deducted on friday morning n Saturday morning, instead of when we checked out on sunday. This amounted to an overcharge by one night. Had to query it saturday afternoon to get if refunded. This inconvenienced us cos we had to drive back to hotel to have this sorted out. Bathrooms need proper cleaning. Too much rooom for improvement.
