"This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area.
A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one...
"Pricing is super reasonable for the area, and the place is just beautiful nestled in the trees! I wish I had the need to stay over in Grass Valley more, I would stay here all the time!"

"Great location in downtown Grass Valley. Quick walk to the pedestrian only zone with shops and restaurants. Social hour basic snacks and drinks but nice vibe. Fitness Center basic but met the need."
"I stayed in Daphne, a cute single room. Perfect for just me and one night. Very clean, plenty spacious. My only complaint was that it was very bright in the room all-night due to lights outside & curtains that werent black out. "
"I need to travel to grass Valley for two months for my nursing program. I found this hotel and decided to book it based on the price and was not expecting much because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised! The unit is very big. When you first walk in, you have a bathroom area to the left and then a fridge and microwave on the right and then you walk down a few stairs into the actual room which is a very large space. It doesn’t come with a lot of extras, but it was definitely worth the price...
"Had a really lovely 4 nights at the inn. Owned by a really lovely and friendly couple. Room was a good size, with a big comfortable bed. Plenty of bedding and towels. You get to use a lot of the property as well as the room. There is a front porch, a back room with amenities for tea/coffee, fridge, ice, microwave etc. You can sit inside there or down the stairs where there is another fridge. There are two areas to sit outside as well under parasols. The inn is minutes from the town. I would stay...
"Very friendly staff, room was large nice and clean. Breakfast need a littlebit attention. Sorry but the eggs are too watered down and the dining area was a bit unsupervised, food items were not restocked as it should've may be the cook needs an assistance I thing that is a job for 2 people not just one.
