"There is no on-site parking, so be prepared for a short walk from wherever you manage to park. If you’re lucky you may find a free space as we did, although it wasn’t easy to locate one in the dark somewhere unfamiliar. There are paid car parks nearby, though I’m not sure about the rates or exact distances. Either way, expect around a 10-minute walk, which isn’t ideal when carrying luggage in the rain.
The hotel operates a self check-in system, which I actually preferred. Two days before arrival I received both a text and an email with clear instructions for accessing the building and our room. The process was very straightforward and easy to follow.
We arrived in the dark and initially all the lights were off, and we struggled to find some of the switches. As we were staying on the top floor it took a bit of figuring out, but nothing major.
The room itself was clean and tidy, which for me is the most important thing in a hotel stay. The general facilities in the room were good. However, being on the top floor meant we had a sloped ceiling directly above the head of the bed, so you couldn’t really sit up without bumping your head. The bed also took up most of the room, which made moving around a little tricky. Perhaps a bit nit-picky, but I’m quite tall so it was noticeable.
On the first night there was barely any water coming out of the tap, it was literally just a trickle. We were still able to have a shower, although the pressure wasn’t great. By the following morning"
