"Good family room. Excellent shower as this room has been updated. Perhaps it is time to update decor in the hotel rooms as it felt like we were stepping back into the 1980s. However, for the price it was a good. The size room with everything you could need. Quiet room but could do with a fan or a/c"

I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. There’s half carpet in the standalone toilet, which is gross. The rooms themselves are fine, a bit rough round the edges. I’m baffled at the positive reviews, it’s very basic and not good value - we chose to drive 2.5 hours home rather than...

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at The Harbourmaster. The staff were super friendly and had time for all the guests. Accommodation was clean and spacious, basically as per the pictures on their website, so we were very happy. Our room had a view over the harbour which we enjoyed. "On arrival you are confronted with building work around the main entrance and a very tired looking reception. (July 2026) The rooms are basic relatively clean but bathroom in our room was tiny. If you have long legs you will never be able to use the toilet comfortably because the shower cubicle is approximately 18 inches from the pan. The bathroom smells of damp and the toilet paper is thinner than Bronco. Only one charger plug socket by the desk nothing near the bed. We paid for a sea view...
