"I was looking forward to wonderful weekend away but the hotel just does not live up to its pictures, maybe it did 10 years ago. The hotel needs a serious refurb as well as the grounds of the hotel. The pool is definitely not this clean and blue as in the pictures anymore - it needs a paint job and a proper clean. The bed I slept in made such a noise when you moved, it was terrible. "Our hosts Martha and Kristophe were incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond in helping us secure a dinner reservation, making sure every element of our stay was the best it could be and even met us as we were loading up for our departure to provide traffic updates and suggesting an alternate route to save us from road works delays. The rooms are very comfortable, very clean, well amenities and remarkably quiet. The parking is secure and totally convenient. I cannot recommend 88 Baron von Reese Guesthouse highly enough."
