"The room was clean but I could tell previous guests at smoked in it. It looked like this hotel may have been removed more recently so it does feel newer and nicer. However, when we were checking in, the super loud fire alarm was going off and even afterthought firemen showed up, they could not figure out how to turn it off for several more hours. It was so incredibly loud, we tried to go out to the pool, but it was super dirty. We ended up leaving for dinner early to save our eardrums."

"I read a lot of great reviews about this hotel and that is why I ultimately booked this location. It was unfortunate that the reviews didn’t steer me in the right direction. My room had towels with yellow stains on it and there was also a cockroach in the bathroom hiding in one of the floor towels."

"We are on a 40 day road trip and the Gilmore has been our favorite place to stay so far! It’s in a great neighborhood for walking to restaurants and shopping, room was comfy, nicely decorated and clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend and return!"

"We stayed here by accident. We thought this was the hotel that we stayed in last year, but it turns out to be the one we first went to, and saw how nasty the room was and the entire property and decided to stay somewhere else. However, this year was a different experience. You can tell that there had been many renovations and upgrades done to the rooms from the previous year and the overall look was much better. I was pleasantly surprised and we decided to stay this time."
