"Overall a good stay of your looking for relaxation and not much to do. Property is clean and scenery is beautiful. We stayed in a treehouse and upgraded to an “air conditioned” one, but it wasn’t much help when the room was still very open air. We made it through given this is a very hot season, but I was not a fan of the small ants that were in the beds ,sink, and sheets. We made do, but I’ll probably opt out of treehouse stay the next time :) Not being familiar with the property besides what...

"We have stayed here many times over the years. Lovely place and they are handling bad storm weather and renovations of one pool well. We booked a pool view but there was no pool in sight from our room, no big deal since we not in the room much. Things have changed over the years as is natural but usually you hope it would be for the better. The aura doesn’t feel as serene or happy, they take away as much of the little things as they can that seem petty to complain about. Such as water...

"Don’t get a “deluxe” room. There’s only 2 large windows that look directly into hallways. So unless you want everyone who passes through the hall peering into your room the curtains must be drawn all the time, making the room dark all the time. Also there’s no fitness room despite the hotel amenities listing one. Also, if it rains at any point during the day the staff disappears for the day. Good side, perfect location and great staff when they’re there."

"The airport shuttle is a definite bonus, but the location of the hotel does leave something to be desired. There are very limited dining options in the vicinity of the hotel, and not much in the way of shopping. The fridge and microwave in the room is a nice touch. The Ruta del Desierto bus that runs along highway has a bus stop about 3 blocks from the hotel and is an inexpensive way to get into the more commercial area of San Jose Del Cabo. "Beautiful Property, Tough August Stay — Saved by Incredible Staff We stayed at La Valise Los Cabos in August — beautiful property, but not the right season or setup for it. Temperatures hit 37°C, and AC was only available at night (apparently due to solar panel capacity limits), leaving daytime genuinely hard to bear. "This is a 50year old place. Perfect if you want to disconnect from everything.The room has no fridge, no TV, no hairdryer. Limited toiletries but the beach is one of the most beautiful in the area."

"Great property next to the Sea of Cortez, 3 minute walk to the boat launch area when fishing. Brought our catch back to have on scene restaurant cook for our dinner, outstanding! More of a true hotel feel vs. condo which is next door to this property. Wished they had ice makers on property that we could use when mixing a cocktail in our rooms. Overall very nice place to stay for a fishing weekend or true vacation."
