"Great place to stop and rest"

"Seems like it would be a nice enough place to stay with the family for a vacation getaway right on a lake. However, we were traveling across I-80 and just needed a place to stay overnight. This was a ways off the highway, so it required some extra driving to get there. The room was okay. It's an old motel that has been renovated but still seems a little tired."

"Loved staying here: the only issue I had was they did not discuss the amount of the security deposit while checking in and automatically charged my card an extra $200. I feel communication on their end should have been better with that. The room was very nice but once we turned the AC on in the bedroom a bunch of black stuff shot out all over the bed. Def did not enjoy that. Maybe it just needed a good cleaning prior to use."

We stayed for a week and have to go to front desk to ask for housekeeping to obtain clean towels and sundries every third day when we see nobody coming to make room. "The reviews of this place are incredibly polarizing. Some people think it is the worst place they have ever seen. Others think of it as a twee little time capsule, an example of the pocono mountains in their former glory. The truth is a bit in between, though it is, in cat the worst place I have ever stayed. "Highly recommend! This was our second stay. We stayed in the winter and now during the spring. Make sure to book concierge and ask for a room facing the back of the property where you can watch the deer that come down to the feeders. "Be careful with this one. They are gonna blind-side you with a $25/day parking fee. When I asked about it they said "an outside company handles the parking." That's hardly enough reason to pay for an extra service you don't need. That said, the parking lot is a jungle, there is obviously no "company" out there doing anything and there's no reason to pay for parking - it's just highway robbery. You're stuck and they know it.
