"We spent 3 nights in this property. While the location of the hotel was great for us to walk to some dining locations and drive to different magnificent sights, our accommodations were just adequate at best. Our room was on the 4th floor. With the pitched roof in the bathroom. It made showering a bit challenging. There was just a jetted tub with a shower handle. My wife is 5’2” and could not stand up straight in the curtain-less door-less tub … the room was designed for baths only. The room had spectacular views of the hill side but looks old and worn (not in a charming way). The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was convenient and the elevator is super fast! We were happy to visit Cortina but probably would look for other accommodation if we come back."
"Staff was really helpful, no complaints about that but I had a terrible night. It was really hot at night and the room temperature controller wasn't working, I had to open the window and then there was noice of cars on the main road. Whole night I was switching between opening and closing window due to noice and hot weather, not sure when I slept but it really impacted me."
"My only feedback - assume good intent and learn hospitality manners with your guests. I was traveling through Cortina and was able to check into my adorable room with no problems - with my key, a slip with my name and times for breakfast was the desk. The next morning went to go enjoy breakfast with the other guests in the tent. I was told my room did not include breakfast. Ah, okay - not a problem - It was not clear in my Expedia receipt and I had received the slip to join. I was told just go to the front desk or find the blond woman again to pay for the breakfast (15 euro). Little embarrassing, but resolved!
Before leaving, Robbie checked me out of the room and charged me for my breakfast & city tax. I got into my car, only to be met with the waitress knocking on my window saying "no breakfast". She was yelling at me that i did not pay. I got out of the vehicle to show her my receipt and she promptly swiped it out of my hand, aggressively marching around calling for Robbie - in front of the other guests. I see the blond woman walking down the steps yelling that I was all set - in which the waitress, again, aggressively handed me back the slip and didn't apologize. I am an adult that was treated like a teenager and it was extremely uncalled for. May i suggest on the breakfast slip, include a Y/N at the bottom with it circled if its included in your stay instead of assuming ill intent or being suspicious of your guests, as well as making a scene in front of other guests."
"I really loved this hotel! Beautiful location, great staff & very close to all the locations you’d want to hike in Cortina. Oh! Free breakfast is amazing as well!"
"The first room we had was just outside of the kitchen exhaust vents so we could not leave the door and windows open and it was very hot that day. The carpet in our room was stained and gross. The furniture was in need of refinishing or replacing. The Wi-Fi reception was non existent. When we got another room it was much cleaner. Wood floors. Furniture not quite as beat up. Wi-Fi was much better. Problem with this room was the construction just across the street. It was horribly loud. Had to have doors and windows open as it was hot outside but the construction noise went from 7AM to 8:30PM. Just a bad experience all around. The staff was very helpful in getting us another room, however."
