"Expedia confirmed my booking and took payment. Around two hours later, the host cancelled because of “an error with the calendar” — for a stay that was due the very next day.
That alone was bad enough, but the refund process made it worse. It took two days and three phone calls to Expedia to chase a proper refund, after the first refund shown was only partial.

The owner was excellent with her communication but not at all intrusive. Nice touches like our own private garden with a BBQ where they kindly left some coals so we had the option to use it."

"We booked this property as the picture on website looked nice. It said we would share bathroom only with people in our party, this was booked as non-refundable. We only book properties with en-suite usually but as said it would only be shared with our party. Once booking came through I checked the postcode and found that the property was down a private road which you could not view on google maps.
On arrival after a day of travelling the Norfolk coast, we found ourselves outside a Bungalow which...

"Really lovely cottage in the rural countryside! Very clean. Comfy beds. Lovely roses and a personal message for us when we arrived. We had the whole place to ourselves! Great wi-fi. Only positive comments to put!
A bit tricky to find in the dark - but we got there in the end☀️"
