"Government shutdown happened so no Caverns but we did go down to the Guadalupe Mountains to hike. This location is absolutely perfect for a trip to the caverns though. There’s a water park in season so families with children could have a blast. Hotel was clean and had no smell, which is a game changer for me. Typical rooms but have a good refrigerator, a microwave and small coffee pot. BIGGEST drawback…the only restaurant close closes at 3:00 so you have to plan accordingly or drive back in...
