They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and give us the best stay and are genuinely two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet (together with their lovely dog Pepsi) Their home is beautiful and spotless with a lovely garden. "This is a former abbey partially converted to a hotel . There is an awesome cathedral on the property and the most unique musical carousel that allows you to play instruments as it turns. We had rooms with showers although there are also less expensive rooms with showers down the hall. The main commercial street with restaurants etc is a 10 minute walk. Free parking; no TVs. Extremely restful and charming."

"Our stay at la Porte rouge was a dream. We got to stay in a room with garden view that was super quiet and night. The bath seemed freshly renovated and had everything one could wish for. Our hosts made us fantastic breakfast, and were always up for a talk and recommendations. The flair of the house is unbeatable. With the small garden and the old wooden floors it really feels like you are in a cozy home, the decor just rounds it perfectly. We would definitely recommend staying with them again,...
