"Possibly the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I didn’t receive the check in instructions, so on arriving had to spend around an hour trying to figure things out. There are no staff at the property and the phone number on their website is incorrect. Room had no bin, no mirror or tea & coffee facilities. This is a basic. No outdoor lighting and slippery broken decking steps is a health and safety hazard. Another guest kept leaving the main door open, and one night I took my dog out in the night to...

"The whole experience at this hotel was wonderful. An 18th century home that has been wonderfully maintained. Very close to all the main attractions that you would be hoping to see in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend staying here. Would not hesitate to book this again if I ever come back. The staff were all friendly, shout out to Alex! Was great behind the bar. Loved ❤️"

"Our room was nicely decorated and we loved the big window that looked out on the trees. The staff was always responsive and helpful, especially helping us get suitcases upstairs. Having a wonderful restaurant downstairs was a real plus after a long day of sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again."
