"We enjoyed our stay at The Resident as it was well located to what we had planned and the staff was quite pleasant. However, as far as value - we felt the room to be small for the price paid. We also felt the bathroom tub was quite dangerous to get in and out of — as one had to step very far up and INTO it without a bar to hold or a proper door. "Great location. Right across from the train station. One street over from the Royal mile and a bridge crossing to New town. Great snacks and drinks at no cost in the room. Wonderful rain showers and great heat and air conditioning."

"The property was in a fantastic location to explore the city. The apartment was large with ample room for our family if 4. Good shower with complimentary toiletries. The kitchen area also had everything to get us started (a few more glasses would have helped). We were very pleased with the accommodation and having somewhere to store our bags before and after was also very welcomed. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. "

"Hotel is very well located and lovely in many ways. It was let down by the very hot bedrooms (air con don’t seem to work) and the quality of the food. Asked for a rare steak and was very much medium/well done. Burnt black pudding at breakfast. Maybe chef has having an off couple of days. "

"It was in a very, very convenient location. There is no elevator-it’s not a typical hotel set up. The room was very small (they do give square footage so that was on me). The room is basically a rectangular house bedroom that they took a chunk out to add a bathroom (no closet or dresser). The bathroom was so narrow, I had to leave the door open to bend over and use the sink to wash my face-but, it served its purpose. There were beautiful decorations everywhere-which meant there was no room for...
