"The Jama Hostel is convenient, clean but no frills accommodation. Situated a 5min walk from San Pedro de Atacama's central square, it is an easy walk to everything. Very clean but very basic. A quieter area of the town which is a bonus"

"Hostel below expectations for what it presents in advertisements. Staff pleasant and helpful. It has simple and expensive facilities for what they offer. Parking is on the street in front of the hostel, there is no security for vehicles. Rooms have the entrance to the main room, it can be noisy at times. Location well away from the center where everything happens, but if you like to walk a lot to be near the agencies and better food options may be an option."

"First thing to say is this hostel/hotel is a 30 minute walk to town, so I would only recommend this place to those who want to be away from town or have acess to a car for the duration of their trip. The accomodation I stayed in was a very basic hut, with what I can only describe as cold and not cold water (hot water would be pushing it). The cabin was very cold, especially at night. There seemed to be better accomodation on site (in the style of tipi/tents) and I believe this accomdation is...

"O Hostel fica muito bem localizado, com todo o comércio muito próximo - é silencioso. As camas são largas. A limpeza é frequente em todos os ambientes. O atendimento é muito bom e estão sempre dispostos a ajudar os hóspedes. Recomendo para os amantes dos hostels que querem um bom custo x Beneficios "

"(+) Kind, nice staff
(+) Great location
(+) Cheap
(-) Cold shower, no water
(-) No ar conditioner
(-) Very tiny room
Summary: To have (hot) water avaliable is the minimum expected, even more when after long days on at the Atacama parks. According to the staff it's a San Pedro city issue. I say they should handle it better. Breakfest was ok."

"Tiny hostel ne respecte pas les reservations faites sur hotels.com et le peu de qualité du lieu ne permet pas de compenser. Bref ils ont tout pouvoir sur le type de chambre qu ils vous affectent et sur le prix vous payez. Bref fuyez!"

"Everything about this hotel was perfect! Franklin the manager and the hosts Christian and Antonia were wonderful! We learned so much about the culture of Chile and San Pedro Atacama . Everyone there made our stay a most memorable experience! "
"Great staff and fantastic rooms. Wonderful grounds. Quiet. Superb breakfast. It is a brief drive from the end of San Pedro, 5+ minutes to the turnoff. Then about 2 minutes on unpaved road. But because of that, transportation needed to get to town for restaurants, shops, tours. We had a rental car from calama airport. We found it difficult to navigate the streets of San Pedro by car and parking was not obvious, for meeting up with tour groups. Also the turnoff onto the dirt road was not clearly marked for the last 2 minutes to the lodge. It is at an animal crossing sign. There has been a hotel sign there we were told, but it was not there for us. Signs at the turn and on the dirt road ( go right at the animal crossing, then on the dirt road immediate right and then left) would make this superb hotel even better. After we found it the first time, it was simple. The Maps App wrongly said to park on the highway and walk. The drive on the dirt road was easy in a passenger car once we knew where to go. "
"We really enjoyed our stay at Our Habitas Atacama and appreciated how thoughtfully the hotel’s design and aesthetic mirror the surrounding desert landscape.
Breakfast was excellent, with a diverse spread and the added bonus of choosing a hot dish from the menu each morning. It was a great way to start full days of exploring. Service and housekeeping throughout our stay were also consistently warm, attentive, and reliable.
One of the standout experiences for us was the stargazing offered at the hotel. Being able to step out of our room, sip chamomile tea, and take in an incredibly bright night sky right within the property was truly special experience.
We booked our excursions through the hotel’s preferred partner, Trekana, and had a seamless experience. Tours were always on time, guides were knowledgeable, and everything was well organized, allowing us to fully enjoy each outing.
As other reviews mention, the hotel is about a 10–12 minute walk from the town center, and the road can be quite dusty. This didn’t bother us at all since we frequently walked into town to shop and dine, but it’s good to be aware of.
Overall, we loved having Our Habitas Atacama as our base to explore such a unique region. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again."
