"This 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. It is initially hard to see on your first visit (look for the Sapiens sign on Ruta 702) because the group of 3 houses are set 70 meters south of the road and accessed via a thin 1 lane...
"We booked our stay at Hotel Monte Real last minute when in La Fortuna. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Our room was spotless, and the restaurant food and service was unbelievable! Everything was made to order and it was delicious. In the morning we had a clear view of Arenal from our room and other spots on the property. Check in and check out were easy and the front desk staff were outstanding. I highly recommend staying here when travelling to La Fortuna! "
"If you are staying in La Fortuna, I cannot imagine a better option. We used it as a home base for all the usual activities in the area. For meals, we could cook right there (the Super Rosvil market is a short walk away) or we could go out to eat - there's Mario's place on the next corner for easy food, or an easy walk to downtown for lots of other options). "Amazing place! It is a little outside the town with an amazing view of the volcano. The property was so relaxing with a pool and shaded areas to hang out. So many birds and a beautiful garden! The actual room was good for sleeping and making simple meals but we spent most of our time outdoors on the property. Would stay again!"
"My husband and I enjoyed our stay in a bungalow at Hotel Tangara Arenal. The bungalow was beautifully furnished with everything we needed and the lush tropical trees surrounding it gave us privacy. We felt like we were on our own private retreat.
