"Omdat er geen airco aanwezig is moesten snachts de ramen open om de slaapkamer enigszins te koelen. Omdat er geen horren voor de ramen zaten, vlogen er binnen de kortste keren 20 vliegen binnen die ons de halve nacht wakker hebben gehouden. Ook op het terras van het hotel waren erg veel vliegen die op ons en het eten zaten."

We felt we had one of the best rooms in the hotel (on the 2nd floor with a large balcony looking towards the beautiful valley and mountains beyond), and the room provided everything we needed. "Helaas voldeed Romantik Hotel Beau Rivage niet aan onze verwachtingen. Het hotel ligt mooi aan heg meer. Maar wordt matig onderhouden. Toen we aankwamen en vanwege de hitte een drankje wilde bestellen gaf het hiervoor aanwezige personeel aan dat we nog een half uurtje moesten wachten. Zij hadden namelijk pauze. Ook het driegangen diner waarvoor we voor twee personen meer dan 175 Zwitserse Franken moesten betalen voldeed absoluut niet aan de verwachtingen. Kortom een teleurstellende ervaring."

We were charged an extra 16CHF at the end of the stay that wasn't ours but was charged to the room, surely a mistake but their systems are unfortunately very old and they either can't look it up or don't care to, and the server likely didn't confirm at the time that the room was correct. Impossible d’y séjourner correctement. "The room was perfect for a solo traveler. I had a great view of Lake Lucerne. The room was soundproof so I did not even hear the wedding reception that was going on right below me. The staff go the extra mile to help with any request. The ferry arrives twice per hour and there is a bus to Weggis for light shopping. Paddle boards are available and there are a few stairs to the water. Highly recommend!"
