"Excellent 4 day stay during height of summer at Salty Lodge. Literally steps from the busy Old town, but area is very safe and somewhat quieter. The rooms are pretty spacious for our family of four, with a veranda that looks out/down to the street activity, stores and restaurants. Shower has pretty good water pressure, no shortage of hot water and rooms have comfy beds. We enjoyed the 5th floor rooftop, oh the views! Make sure to it out at sunrise. "Step back in time in this little village near the coast. Each little apartment has a living space, bathroom and a well equipped kitchen which includes microwave oven, stove and Smeg espresso machine on the main floor with winding steps up to a loft with a comfortable bed. The restaurant has a great chef with lots of homemade Portuguese dishes. We highly recommend this place. "

"I think we had the best location for our vacation. Wake up to a view of the ocean, very quiet, not even much traffic noise, especially at night. Sounds of the ocean if you want, close the windows if you don’t! The boardwalk is a 5 minute walk, which takes you to restaurants overlooking the ocean. Absolutely beautiful. The only “better if” would be more communication prior to arrival on how to check in. Owner and his wife very friendly, available quickly if needed."
