"I knew coming that this wasn't going to look like an exceptional hotel (Radisson/Marriott). It has more of a motel vibe (motel 8/best western)however I did feel safe here. The pool was great, food was great and staff was great. My room was not cleaned well before my stay though. The floors were not cleaned. I expected a little sand but it was like they never swept and mopped. My socks were disgusting after walking on the floor. Bed had someone's long hair on it in more than one spot and shower however I know that's something that doesn't mean the sheets weren't clean. Bed was comfortable. They didn't have blackout curtains instead shutters which I didn't care for. TV was great and access to the beach wonderful. I did also have to walk up steps which wasn't the best thing with my knees. I would stay here again probably but make sure to ask them to clean the floors first. It's not a bad place, I'd stay again."
"My stay at the Hyatt was very good overall. The only downside was that the room didn’t appear to be as clean as it could have been. The linens looked fresh and had clearly been changed, but the room itself didn’t seem to have been thoroughly deep cleaned. On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent and one of the highlights of my stay."
"We had a wonderful stay overall at Pink Shell Resort. The staff was friendly, the beach was beautiful, and the amenities made for a great family vacation.
One thing I think future guests should be aware of is booking through Expedia. Expedia appears to use photos of different room layouts and configurations under the same room category, which can be misleading. I booked a One-Bedroom Villa based on the photos shown, expecting the large balcony with the spacious dining table pictured. When we arrived, our villa had a much smaller balcony with no table at all.
I understand that room layouts can vary, but I wish Expedia or the resort made that more obvious before booking. If you're reserving through Expedia, don't assume your room will match the exact photos shown. It would be helpful if the listing stated that the images are representative and that furnishings and layouts may differ.
Other than that, we had a great experience and would consider staying again. I just hope the room photos are updated or better matched to the actual accommodations so future guests know exactly what to expect."
"My wife and I stayed 3 nights in July and were over the top pleased. Some people do a good job and others do it with genuine kindness and enthusiasm. The staff at The Perry fall into the latter category.
The property itself is beautiful, clean and modern. The room was perfect. But the staff was the shining star.
Shout outs to Regina and the entire front of house staff, Crystal at the 7th floor bar and Caleb with facilities. All interactions were fantastic."
