Donald, thanks for your review. Please be aware that you arrived at 8:00 PM on a Monday to check in when the Pro Shop & restaurant was closed. The area got hit with over 65-mile-an-hour winds along with 4 inches of water in a superb amount of time the day before your check-in date, resulting in very wet course conditions. I'm happy that our Front Desk staff was considerate enough to comp the cancellation fee for your stay considering you did not explore your room before deciding we were not the property for you. We hope you decide to play the course in the future.

Deborah, I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with us. Upon investigation, it seems we had two reservations for you on Expedia and we erroneously canceled the incorrect one. We also get credit card information from Expedia when guests make reservations. The credit card you used to book matched Expedia's records. Again, I'm sorry for the confusion with your reservation but hope you decide to give us another chance in the future.

Dear Ms. Sommer, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts regarding your recent stay with us. I am glad that Katie Baines, our Guest Services Manager, still allowed you to keep your reservation with us even after your use of profanity with her on the phone.Our Front Desk starts closing around 9:00 PM, as that is when our restaurant closes; that way we can have two employees close and lock the building together by 10:00 PM. My cell phone number and our on-site maintenance employee's cell phone number are on the map every guest receives at check-in, and outside the front door of our hotel lobby. We have never had an issue with a guest being able to get ahold of our staff from 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM, whether they are locked out of their room, need maintenance assistance in their room, or simply need a wake-up call set-up. I apologize Etowah Valley did not meet your expectations and hope you enjoyed your time in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
