Evora is a top stop in Portugal. Historic, beautiful, walkable, good food, peaceful (not the mass tourism of Lisbon and Porto) and close to attractions outside the wall. We drove 30 minutes to walk a farm with the farmer to learn about cork.

Small town with lots to see. Go just outside the wall to a restaurant called A Gruta for a nice lunch and try their piri piri chicken (with rice) and lemon mousse. Delicious!!!
