"Ionian Arches is a really well located, clean, family run place. The photos on the listing definitely glamorise it a bit - e.g we chose a superior room with garden view, which actually looked out onto the driveway and some plants. We were also a bit disappointed to find our breakfast is only offered in the summer - June onwards - but luckily there are lots of cafes in walking distance. Our shower also didn’t work great due to the water coming out in one pressurised stream from the middle. But...

"Hotel is located on a steep hill, not easy up hill drive.
Limited parking and you need to be able to go up and down stairs to get around and to the dinning area.
Dinning area- If you lucky you have a balcony table with nice view of the sea. Otherwise you have to use inside table.
Food - half boarding breakfast/Dinner, same buffet items the entire week that we stayed.
Dinner do not include access to water coffee and you need to buy!
The rooms and the hotel is a bit dated."

"The best hotel experience for the price of my life and I’ve spent a few nights in hotels, averaging more than 50 nights/yr over the last 20 yrs. From the drinks at check in to the complementary upgrade, it was first class. The complementary breakfast was excellent. While not on the beach, it’s a short walk with dozens of restaurants within a couple of miles."
