"First of all the location is excellent… right in the middle of the rainforest, although the drive up there is not for the faint hearted. My room was very basic, which was expected. The thing I didn’t like was that the door to the deck didn’t seal at all, so when the wind blew at night it rattled the blinds and kept me awake. "The staff were absolutely fantastic - friendly, helpful & genuinely welcoming which made our stay enjoyable. The room was a lot bigger than we expected which was great! Only small things to note were that the ceiling light shades were a bit dusty and some minor mould build up in the top room ceiling which may need to be looked into. "Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay due to an aggressive and abusive resident. After receiving a meal he was not satisfied with (and declining a full refund that was quickly offered) the resident verbally abused staff for 10 minutes using racial slurs, calling them ‘peasants’ and ‘servants’, swearing, threatening them and smashing his hands and food on the counter. I enjoyed the pizza and calamari at the Stingray and I also enjoyed the sushi at the Izakaya that they had. The breakfast buffet was also done well. The only thing is that property was going through some renovations and the rooms need to be updated a tiny bit. "
