"Quinta de Recião has numerous properties. This review is for the one-bedroom cottage (Casa do Moinho - the Mill House) The Mill House is a beautiful property, hosted by beautiful people. The main room has kitchen, table, lounge, small TV and a fire. The separate bedroom has two single beds with an adjoining bathroom. The cottage sits right on the edge of the Rio Varosa (Varosa River) and the sound of running water is peaceful and calming. There is the option to have a home cooked meal...

"Friendly and very helpful hosts, enjoyed our stay. Nice apartment with a wonderful breakfast. Some deep cleaning of fridge and oven would be appreciated. Overall had a good time and will stay again when in the area. Highly recommend"

"I've posted elsewhere that we stayed at wonderful hotels in Portugal. The "stories" were about reaching them and trying to park at them. The Douro Castelo experience was our worst! We used GPS to find the hotel. Made the mistake of making the last turn! The hotel was only feet from the last intersection.
