This property has some benefits. It is centrally located near the old town and the ferry terminal, has parking, and provides great views of the harbour. But this property also has several significant issues that made us regret staying there. Generally, the property is dated, run-down and in poor repair. This includes the rooms, which are well overdue for an overhaul. This is, put simply, not a nice hotel.
There were also specific failings. Our air conditioning failed to cool the room more than a few degrees less than the outside air temperature—meaning it was very hot in our room—and the doors to the balcony did not seal tightly. This contributed to the heat, but more than that, it meant that the room was very noisy. The hotel overlooks a busy plaza and festivities go late into the night. The room did not come with a fitted sheet and a top sheet was used instead, which meant the sheet pulled off the mattress easily. The pillows were well past their useful life and were clumpy and worn. The mini fridge did not cool beverages. The bathroom was very dimly lit. The walls were scuffed and chipped. This was not a pleasant stay. This hotel has potential, but serious changes are needed. I recommend not staying here.
