"Beautiful place to stay in York! Extremely clean, and in a Goldilocks zone of being a quiet area and still a very walkable distance from the city centre!"
"A little birthday weekend away with our two spaniels and what a fantastic place. This is obviously someone’s home it was perfect. It had everything. From fold up tables to eat at if you didn’t want to use the breakfast bar, to recliner chairs and sofa. The whole house was spotless and we felt welcome from the moment we received the arrival instructions from the owner. Surrounding information sheets with information and instructions on how to use everything in the house, including the washing...
"Great location, easy taxi ride from the train station & we could easily walk to city center. Apartment was homey, spacious & comfortable with everything we needed for a 3 night stay, including a washer/dryer to do our own laundry. Definitely recommend staying here when in York "
"What we liked the most is the central location. Within blocks of the Shambles, Bettys Cafe, Boots, Marks and Spencer, Jorvik, and more. The instructions for getting keys was a bit off. The lock box instructions are not accurate as to the location. The apartment is on 2 floors with a narrow spiral staircase to get between floors. The apartment was clean, but parts are a bit run down. the closet door in the bedroom was off its track. That said, you cannot get a better location. Sites, restaurants,...
"Sheets had big stain on , floor was in need of a vacuum, hairs in bathroom, furniture had rips in, stains on carpet, car parking space was tiny, we were kept awake on both night by noise and partying in other apartments. The shower was barely warm and went cold after one person had showered. Wouldn't stay again, over priced and begrudge paying a cleaning charge when it's not clean."
"Weekend in york
Apartment was about a 5 minute walk from York minster so ideal location. Car parking space ( quite tight but ok) provided in the pub at the rear of the flat.
Flat was modern and very well equipped. Quiet despite there being a pub and car park nearby. Shower was a little mouldy but other than that the flat was perfect "
"Very comfortable unit in a country setting away from the congestion of York. The only negative point was that the WIFI was weak in the unit we were in. Nice, historical location. "

"This is my second Hotel Indigo stay, the last was in Edinburgh for 7 days as well. As a tourist who likes to walk and take in every possible sight, the location in the city center , could not have been better. In addition , it was surrounded by small restaurants offering almost every ethnic food one could think of, as well as many countless traditional pubs.
We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel every morning, and everything from special coffees, continental breakfast along with the English breakfast as well as any breakfast made to order. The service from the front desk, to the restaurant and housekeeping, could not have been better. Every single member of staff was cheerful and helpful.
I very much enjoyed the smart British modern decor, replete with beautiful velvets, tweeds and some very nice millwork. It contributed enormously to the experience. Great job, Hotel Indigo. I loved my York experience.

10/10 Excellent
"Efficient and friendly check in. Staff very courteous and helpful. Our room was a little tired and old fashioned but clean and comfortable. Bathroom facilities very good. Breakfast buffet food was not particularly hot. I suspect the food server heater was inadequate. Evening meal was excellent, again lovely staff and very reasonable prices. The pool and spa is really superb and well worth using. It's the biggest jacuzzi we've ever seen! Overall a very pleasurable stay. "
"Great location, comfy and very clean. Good choice at breakfast too! Only slight negative was the last checking us in wasn’t very welcoming a smile and bit more of a warmer hello would have been nice rather than us feeling like we were putting her out. "
"A very enjoyable short stay at the hotel when presenting at a conference at the same hotel. Excellent accommodation, good breakfast, impressive decor, and great conference room. Highly recommended."
"From a big beautiful clean room to the wonderful staff and the fantastic food in the restaurant, made our stay so enjoyable m, will definitely be back
