"staff very friendly and helpfull. Close to transportation. food was tasty. On the down side, bathroom walls and ceiling were peeling. The room door trim in the key lock area looked like the door can easily be opened with a credit card slipped between the frame and the door."

"Great Base for Exploring Arran We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Auchrannie Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Arran. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, providing a relaxing base to explore the island. One of the highlights was dining at the resort’s Cruize Restaurant, which offered healthy menu choices along with prompt and friendly service. The resort facilities are excellent and cater to guests of all ages and interests. I particularly appreciated the fitness centre, which was well equipped and a great way to stay active while travelling. Another bonus is the location. Just around the corner is the local Ormidale Hotel, a lively and welcoming pub that was a great place to meet locals and enjoy some authentic Arran hospitality. Overall, a fantastic stay and a property we would happily return to on a future visit to Arran."

"Clean and nicely furnished room although basic amenities… only hand soap and a fixed bottle of shower/hair wash….. I expected a bit more…… Friendly staff. Location is good although if walking to/from town the front steps are a challenge not for the feint hearted! Stunning sea views. Breakfast was hot and plenty of choice. Overall I’d recommend."

"Loved the style of the hotel. Stunning decor and very comfortable beds. Staff were also delightful and well informed. The pool was a really decent size - though in contrast to the rest of the hotel the pool area is very grey and uninteresting. Also no jacuzzi. Food and drink very good and the dining room is beautiful. We had a spa suite which was very spacious and comfortable BUT be warned - it is a very long walk from these to the main hotel. I counted walking through 8 fire doors before getting to the spa and from there I think there were another 3 or 4 before reaching the lift! For me there were a few niggles about the room. 1. No magnifying shaving/makeup mirror in the bathroom. I have bad eyesight so couldn’t see to put makeup on 2. Weirdly there was no plug on the sideboard for plugging in the kettle. We had to plug it in on the floor! (Room designer needs a planning lesson) 3. I would have liked a bath as well as shower. I think in a suite you might expect both. But overall a really lovely hotel and I would definitely go back"
