"Part of the national park (heavens gate) is very close (10 mins in car) other parts are further away but that would be the same for any hotel you stay in, the park is vast and has 5 gates so you would choose a gate then a hotel close to that gate. The staff here are amazing (10 star) so friendly and helpful and communication is not a problem, the hotel is simplistic and a little remote but all we needed was somewhere to sleep as there is too much to see and do, if you want to eat at the end of...

"Really great stay. Large spacious rooms with amazing views of Tianmen Mountain. Owner is super sweet and accommodating. Restaurant at the guesthouse is some of the best food we’ve had on the trip for an excellent value - close to downtown and the airport. Note that on DiDi / AMaps it only comes up as Zhangjiajie Bantian Homestay."
