"We left a day early as the accommodation was not accurately described or pictured. This is a hostel and not a 3 star hotel. No staff, and slow to respond to email. Room not as pictured, cold and dingy, both hand soap and shower wash dispensers were empty, no kettle as advertised, TV with no channels, socket by bed not working, kitchette for shared use was unclean.
So many good hotels in Iceland so don't waste your time staying here."
"We stayed 2 nights in the room with balcony during end April. Probably it was still off peak so it seems we were the only ones in the second night. The town was quite busy in the day but very quiet at night. Nice view and have the vibe of Nordic fjord."
"This place was absolutely adorable. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I will mention is the front desk agent there when we arrived should learn some manners. The morning staff made up for his curt demeanor and we enjoyed our stay overall. "
"Clean room, and comfortable bed. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming: tang instead of orange juice, and processed cheese slices instead of real cheese. But it was a comfortable stay. "
"Siggi is a wonderful host! The property was quiet and comfortable and in the middle of the mountains. We enjoyed talking with Siggi at breakfast and learning more about Iceland. "
"Beautiful location right on the water. Spacious room, friendly staff, good breakfast, and decent choice of games including a pool table. Highly recommended!"
"It's a lovely guesthouse in a former school building, with a small room but a comfortable common area and a well stocked kitchen. Beautiful views of the fjord. The area is a bit isolated--just a tiny village, and it takes over an hour to get there from the main road by a steep winding dirt road. We hiked up the hill, but the trail isn't well maintained. It's a great place for peace and quiet, but not as a base for exploring the eastern fjords."
