"The place itself was ok , however beware of hidden charges. It was just my husband and I but we were charged an extra $150 for an extra person. Apparently, the price shown is for ONE person and you must pay an additional $150 for the 2nd person. Ridiculous ! Absolutely not worth the price we paid with the additional $150. "
"Room was excellent with beautiful ocean view. Large room, comfortable bed, nice deck. Bathroom was also top notch. We did however have ongoing issues with the door that was not dealt with appropriately. "
"Las Alfombras del cuarto estaban sucias y cortina del baño con hongo. Las sábanas y toallas súper desgastadas deberían cambiarlas.
El restaurante estaba bueno. Los precios un poco caro, pero todos los restaurantes del área tenían precios parecidos. "
"The Sea Gate Hotel was a wonderful place for us to stay and enjoy Vieques! We shared a huge balcony with our friends and that provided a big space to hang out together. The balcony literally always had a refreshing breeze and the views of the town, mountain and sea were so amazing! The rooms are older and provide everything you need with a kitchen area and a bedroom with a bathroom. The bed was soft and comfortable- appreciate that amazing memory foam mattress! Kelly could not have been more helpful, kind or caring- she is an excellent host!!! This is a small family run hotel that has been there for decades and we all really liked it. It is not fancy in any way, but it is a great place to stay. There is an adorable small three foot pool that was built for Kelly when she was a child and it provides a refreshing cool dip. They also have horses and horseback riding. We would definitely stay again with Kelly and Penny. Take away breakfast is minimal and in a small room, but was appreciated with fruit, toast & juice. We were very happy with our stay!"
"Our check-in was delayed by several hours and well past the time we were guaranteed. Staff professionalism ranged from non-existent to efficient and friendly. The room itself was comfortable and clean. Infrastructure worked well and there was ample hot water. Mamacitas is one of those places one can recommend with several caveats. The rooms are near the ferry dock and shops. The restaurant and bar offer consistently good food at reasonable prices. But the staff is not ready for the Internet age. There is something quaint and charming about “island time” but when people fly half way around the world to be there, their expectations may well be disappointed (at the very least). "
"Our suite was lovely. I appreciated that there was no television. We enjoyed the small pool. Jeannette, who checked us in, was so much fun to talk to. Like everyplace in PR that we visited, Old Crow is very clean. It's a large facility, and upkeep must be a challenge. A few areas could use a refresh. For instance, the umbrellas you see in their promotional photos are faded at this point, but the poolside area is still lovely. There was also a portion of the deck outside of our room had no support underneath. I think the climate must make it difficult to maintain exteriors. "
