"Needs a refresh but otherwise great"

"I rated this hotel "mid." Biggest perk: Location! Cleanliness- fine, Staff- fine. However, I think the two biggest concerns was we had a leaky toliet and contacted the front desk. Someone came right away to look at it and said they would fix the issue the next day when we were out of the room. If they fixed it, there was no communication. The towel used to soak up water was still on the floor. Toliet did still leak the next night, but we were leaving early the next day. Otherwise, the other concern was that hours after a pool party on Saturday, it seemed the pool area and deck were still really filthy. I understand things take awhile to clean, but if the party ended at 4 pm and we're at the pool at 7 pm, I thought it would look much better. I didn't even want to use the pool"

"Good price for being walkable to downtown. Loved the historical pictures throughout hotel. Spencers restaurant next door fantastic! "

"The place felt incredibly nasty! The sheets they gave us for the sofa bed had what looked like menstrual stains (lined up around that location) on them . The sofa bed mattress looked so disgusting that my wife & I chose to sleep on it & to give our 14yr old son the bed so that he could sleep. My wife didn’t sleep b/c of the springs poking her. The room smelled like hotel (old smoking room). This is not a Hyatt. I would equate it to a red roof Inn of motel 6. "

"Lovely hotel with an interesting lay out. Great balconies. Adult section with our own pool and beverages was a treat. Breakfast was great, staff supper pleasant. "

"Everything about the property was great. Lots of choice at the breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Grounds were clean and the location was just off the center of downtown. Only negative was the bed was too firm. "

The location was in easy walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants, the hotel was immaculate and ground beautifully manicured, the staff was incredibly helpful and kind and the breakfasts were outstanding. A must stay for those looking for a private location within walking distance to downtown."
