"The breakfast was amazing, and the highlights of that in there. First, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, for the entire week me and my wife got maybe two hours of sleep every night, tossing and turning due to feeling all the wood and springs underneath. They never actually cleared or clean the courtyard right in front of my room yet had parties on the weekend. The lack of staff after the 12 noon was a little ridiculous. "I had a wonderful stay here! The staff were very kind and accommodating. I stayed in the single economy room which was perfect for one solo traveler. Nice castle! Good location if you are exploring Franconia on bike or foot as there are trails throughout the countryside that go through various towns. Nice breakfast here that is free with coffee too!"

"There is no way to control some of the lights in the room without using the main switch, i.e. coffee bar light cannot be turn on without the main switch on and the wall decorative light can only be turn off with the main switch. The shower does not door or curtain to keep water from splashing."
